LOS ÁNGELES, Estados Unidos.- Las series "The Crown", con seis candidaturas; "Schitt’s Creek", con cinco, y "Ozark", con cuatro, lideraron las nominaciones de los Globos de Oro en el apartado televisivo, anunció este miércoles la Asociación de la Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood (HFPA).
Las tres ficciones con más menciones forman parte del catálogo de Netflix, que domina de manera absoluta en la pequeña pantalla con un total de 20 nominaciones, muy por encima de su principal competidor, HBO. Además, junto a las 22 candidaturas en el apartado de cine, Netflix suma un total de 42 participaciones.
Su éxito recae otra vez en "The Crown", la serie sobre la monarquía inglesa que se ha convertido en la joya de su corona y que ya en la pasada edición partió como uno de los formatos favoritos, pero luego perdió el premio en favor de "Succession".
En esta ocasión se medirá contra "Ozark", "Ratched", "Lovecraft Country" y "The Mandalorian", esta última la gran apuesta del gigante Disney para estos premios.
"The Crown" también ha entregado otra candidatura a Olivia Colman como mejor actriz protagonista, que podría repetir su triunfo del año pasado por su papel como la Reina Isabel II.
En comedia, "Schitt’s Creek" llega a la casilla de salida como gran favorita con cinco nominaciones apenas meses después de arrasar en los Emmy, donde se llevó nueve premios.
Contra "Schitt’s Creek" competirán "Emily in Paris", "The Flight Attendant", "The Great" y "Ted Lasso".
Por su parte, entre las miniseries "The Queen’s Gambit" y "Unorthodox", dos de los fenómenos televisivos del año, recibieron sus correspondientes candidaturas.
"Normal People", "Small Axe" y "The Undoing" completan la batalla por el Globo de Oro a la mejor serie limitada o antológica (miniserie).
En este apartado habrá participación latina, pues la argentina Ana Taylor-Joy, que también tiene nacionalidad británica y estadounidense, competirá por la estatuilla a mejor actriz tras protagonizar "The Queen’s Gambit".
